Size & price:  40g  $24.50  /  100g  $46.00

Why Hakura is the kindest place to start?

Premium grade matcha sits between ceremonial and barista — and that's exactly its superpower. It's smooth enough to drink straight, bold enough to taste through milk. One bag, every ritual.

  • Second-harvest leaves from Uji, Kyoto — a little stronger in flavour than ceremonial

  • Warm, nutty pistachio notes — different from any other matcha in our lineup

  • Forgiving — if you mess up the water temperature, hakura won't punish you

  • Lovely whisked simply, but holds up beautifully through milk too

  • 100g works out to around $0.92 a cup — your café will charge $6 for the same drink

Two ways to enjoy Hakura

Morning, simple: sift 1 tsp into a bowl, add 60ml hot water (80°C), whisk briskly. drink slowly, eat your toast.

Afternoon, with milk: same matcha base, then pour over 200ml frothed oat milk. Café-quality latte at home.

Is this your matcha?

✓ YES if:  you're new to matcha, you want one bag for everything, or you switch between whisked bowls and lattes

↔ MAYBE if:  you're a daily latte drinker — Hakura works, but Camellia (our barista grade) might suit you even better

✗ NO if:  you only drink matcha straight in koicha (thick) style — go up to hikari ceremonial
