Grade is a description, not a ranking

The biggest myth is that higher grade equals better matcha. it doesn't. Grade describes a matcha's character and what it's made for — not a ladder from worst to best.

A ceremonial-grade matcha is delicate and aromatic, made to be whisked with just water. A barista grade is bold and vivid, made to shine through milk. Neither is better than the other. They're made for different cups, different moments, different people.
